Product Manager - BBi

The Role:

We are seeking a dynamic Product Manager to join our team. The role will take responsibility for the overall management of Harwin's fast growing BBi product vertical, from conception through end-of-life. The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in driving product strategy, development, and lifecycle management, ensuring alignment with market demands, competitive positioning, and organisational goals. The role will also support commercial activities for the BBi vertical, through sales and marketing relations.

This is a remote role, and on-site requirements will be tailored around specific activities within the role.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

• Product lifecycle management through concept, launch and obsolescence
• Contribute to product strategy, inputting technical and market information
• Liaise with Project Management to ensure projects within BBi vertical are completed within agreed timescales
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Design, Marketing, and Sales to drive successful product development
• Assist Pricing Specialist with quotations and pricing activities
• Co-ordinate test programmes to improve product specifications and documentation
• Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
• Use and manipulation of data to drive decision making
• International travel to visit customers to drive product and application understanding, feeding back into product roadmap
• International travel to visit suppliers to understand capabilities and assess future product opportunities
• Attend trade shows, participate in press activities and conferences
• Product training on NPI's and BBi product ranges
• Uphold EN9100 standards by adhering to company procedures whilst seeking continuous improvement

u Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in product management
• Degree or similar qualification in a technical field
• Electronics/manufacturing industry experience preferred
• Working with data to drive decision-making
• Creative, forward thinking
• Customer-centric mindset with the capability of translating that into the product development process
• Strong project management skills and diligence
• Ability to produce and present meaningful presentations to key stakeholders
• Ability to understand and convert data into useful reports
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Administration skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
